I am a proud Aotearoa/New Zealand born, textile and material explorer currently living in Naarm/Melbourne. Having completed my bachelor’s degree in Textile Design with a minor in Sustainable Innovation, my practice aligns with the vision of a circular economy and post-petrochemical world. This compels me to focus on reducing waste and innovating new materials to replace that which is single use. When approaching a design project I start with investigative making, exploring tactile materials, form and handmade processes. Thematic inspiration within my work is informed by my original photography that studies both the natural world, urban landscapes, and sometimes a combination of the two. This, along with the influence of my coastal upbringing, allows my practice to dabble with organic, abstract, and conversational elements

Whilst practicing in my home in Carlton, Melbourne, I would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which I undertake my studio work, the Woiwurrung and Boonwurrung language groups of the Eastern Kulin Nations, and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I pay respect to future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
